Fall/Spring Gateway Program
The deadline to sign up for Fall/Spring Gateway has passed. Please consider transferring to Texas Tech for a future semester.
The transition from high school to college is much more gradual for students choosing the Fall/Spring Gateway. They attend South Plains College, either in Levelland, Texas (about 25 miles from Lubbock), or at Reese Center in west Lubbock (about 15 minutes from the Texas Tech campus). Completion of 24 transferable hours with at least a 2.25 GPA guarantees admission to Texas Tech for the following fall. Students who complete 12 transferable hours with at least a 2.5 GPA during their first fall semester at South Plains College may choose to attend Texas Tech in the spring or continue in the Gateway Program. Fall/Spring Gateway participants have access to Texas Tech campus housing and some student services.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS.
- Enroll at South Plains College (either the Levelland or the Reese campus).
- Complete 24 hours of coursework from the approved list with a minimum 2.25 GPA to be considered for admission for the fall 2009 semester.
